Connecting to "JAARS" Network - Linux

How to connect to JAARS Network from a Linux machine: From anywhere on the JAARS campus you may access the JAARS wifi network on any of your personal devices. Here's how to connect on a Linux computer.
These instructions were written using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, some specific steps may look different if you use another version of Linux, but the network authentication settings will remain the same.
Open the system menu from the right side of the top bar
Select Wi-Fi Not Connected. The Wi-Fi section of the menu will expand

Click Select Network
Open the system tray and click on select network

Select the JAARS network SSID and click Connect
Select JAARS network
- Confirm these settings
- Authorization will be Protected EAP (PEAP)
- Check No CA certificate is required

Inner authentication will be MSCHAPV2
Confirm these settings

Enter your JAARS username (typically jack.smith, jack_smith, or smithj) and password, then click Connect
