How to Adjust The Backlit Keyboard on a Chromebook

Some JAARS-issued Chromebooks have backlit keyboards. This small led light helps the user see the keys when using the laptop while the lighting of your surroundings is dim. You can adjust the brightness of these backlit keys by using the Screen Brightness adjustment keys. These brightness keys are highlighted in red in the screenshot below. The key on the left will decrease brightness and the key on the right will increase brightness.

They also work for your backlit keyboard. Hold down the ALT key on your keyboard as you press the increase or decrease brightness keys. You will see that your screen is not adjusted but rather the backlit key brightness is adjusted.
